Pulsed light for face and legs

Intense pulsed light is a treatment that allows for the removal of unwanted hair from all areas of the body. The operating principle is very simple: the light targets the melanin contained in the hair follicle, raising its temperature and causing its death.

Each session causes approximately 20% of hair to fall out, and 6-8 sessions achieve almost complete hair removal.

Medical devices are more powerful than aesthetic devices, so fewer sessions are needed.

Typically, pulsed light sessions at our medical aesthetic center in Milan are performed every three weeks. There are no negative side effects, and depending on the size of the area, sessions last from a few minutes for areas like the face and armpits to about 30-45 minutes for entire legs.

The following are essential conditions for safe and effective treatment:

• light, untanned skin
• black or dark brown hair
• hairs approximately 1 mm long on the skin’s surface
